The SFN is a system based on results of research and field work that aims to nourish and stimulate the plant, reducing the losses caused by biotic and abiotic factors (diseases and pests) throughout the phenological cycle of the crop.

The genetic potential of all crops can only be attained as losses are minimized. Currently, in soybeans, an average of 35% of this potential can be exploited, with 9% of the losses being related to biotic factors and 56% to abiotic factors.
